In 2023, together with two friends, I took the ultimate step: founding Coffee Architects AG.
We built this roastery to realize a shared vision – uncompromising quality, radical transparency, and unforgettable flavor profiles.
Whether as barista, roaster, or founder, Coffee Architects is where years of precision, passion, and genuine craft come together in every roast.
From childhood memories to coffee art
My story with coffee started simple – a cozy filter coffee with milk served by my grandmother.
But the real spark ignited in 2010 at Zurich’s Z am Park, when a beautifully crafted latte art drink showed me coffee is an art form.
Inspired by that blend of craftsmanship and aesthetics, I dove headfirst into the specialty coffee world.
I spent years honing my craft – from learning under Nina Rimpl at Milchbar (where I eventually became Head of Coffee) to working at iconic Zurich spots like Auer & Co and Kraftwerk.
Precision in every roast
Driven to master every detail, I pursued training with Philipp Henauer, leading to my role as Roaster & Quality Manager at Henauer Coffee Roasters in 2018.
There, I immersed myself in roasting dynamics, sensory evaluation, and green coffee sourcing. In 2019, my dedication to flavor paid off:
I won the Swiss Cup Tasting Championship and represented Switzerland at the World Championship in Berlin. For me, tasting isn't just a skill – it’s the foundation of quality.
